Had It All by Troy Rusnack

So this is life?
A picture perfect painting
Colored with our dreams and hopes
As every picture tells a story, every brushstroke a tale
Of what seems to be
Reality speaks to us larger than life
Yet blinded by visions of glittering starlight
How did we lose all sight?
Been blinded by our desires
Somehow now we have been misled searching for the perfect life

If I had it all
I wouldn't need to pretend
And we could go on living life again
Living in fantasy
Living afraid to see
That things aren't as they seem
If I had it all

So this is hope?
But this is not the first time searching for the truth through this
Communication starts to falter
Each side choosing to see, only to believe its own
I've been there before
It's not my place to be frustrated by things that never change
Wont you listen up to me?

If I had it all, I wouldn't need to pretend
And we could go on living life again
Living in fantasy
Living afraid to see
The harsh reality
If I had it all
